The struggles of the elders in the Muslim Brotherhood are a war on interests

Muslim Brotherhood

Essam Talima, a leader in the Brotherhood, attacked the rebellion front led by Mahmoud Hussein, the acting general guide of the Brotherhood, stressing that they had fallen morally before everyone in the ongoing crisis between them.

Talima pointed out that the front that split after it was a single entity all fell into the test of morals, and proved that it is sick with the positions, leadership and spoils provided by the Brotherhood cake, as he described it.

He added: There is no moral background in the ongoing conflict, as morals became a burden on them and they easily abandoned it when it conflicted with their interests, to the extent that they convinced people that every crisis they entered into with the state was power, positions and interests that were the basis and nothing else.

He concluded his speech by saying: Such disagreements cannot be for God, as the organization’s senior leadership promotes, but rather evidence of a moral and ethical fall.

And the past days witnessed a bloody struggle that showed on the surface what had been going on in secret over the past months within the Brotherhood, and indications of a historic coup attempt by al-Amin emerged. The group's predecessor, Mahmoud Hussein, is Ali Ibrahim Mounir, the current acting Brotherhood guide, due to the abolition of the position of Secretary-General that Hussein had occupied for many years. ?

Stripping Mahmoud Hussein of all his privileges, he and his men called him to rebel and continue in their positions under the pretext of protecting and preserving the group, which is the same justification that called him to reject seven individual initiatives. It also rejected the ten initiatives presented in 2016 by Al-Qaradawi, the youth and others arbitrarily and rejecting any change.

On the other hand, Ibrahim Munir, supported by the group’s young leaders and funding sources, took action and unleashed to monitor all violations of the old guard, who ran the Brotherhood for the seven years. The previous lean, and Munir rejected what was announced by the Brotherhood in Turkey, and declared his adherence to the results of the elections, and referred 6 of the group’s leaders, headed by Mahmoud Hussein, for investigation. Because of their refusal to hand over their duties to the newly formed office, which for the first time became affiliated with it, after it had been an island isolated from the organization since 2014.
