Bayern and Dortmund are looking to restore balance across the league after exiting the German Cup

Bayern Munich

Both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are eager to move on from their recent disappointment in the German Cup, as they enter the 27th round of the Bundesliga on Saturday Bayern Munich, who are currently leading the Bundesliga table with 64 points, were knocked out of the German Cup quarter-finals by second-tier team Holstein Kiel in January. They will face Union Berlin, who are currently in seventh place, on Saturday in hopes of securing another win and maintaining their lead in the league.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund will face Stuttgart on Saturday, after being eliminated from the German Cup semi-finals by their bitter rivals, Bayern Munich. Dortmund are currently in fifth place with 43 points, and will be looking to secure a win in order to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.

Both teams have been in good form in the league, with Bayern Munich winning four of their last five matches and Borussia Dortmund winning three of their last five. However, they will need to be at their best to secure a win this weekend, as they face tough opponents in Union Berlin and Stuttgart respectively.

Despite their recent setback in the German Cup, Bayern Munich are still the favorites to win the Bundesliga title this season. They have a comfortable lead at the top of the table and have been consistent in their performances throughout the season. However, Borussia Dortmund will be hoping to put pressure on them with a win this weekend, as they look to secure a top-four finish and a place in next season's Champions League.
