Neymar: I dream of playing for Santos again

Neymar

Neymar Jr, a Brazilian professional football player, has always been vocal about his love for his former club Santos FC. He rose to prominence while he was playing for the club and then went on to become a global superstar after moving to Barcelona and later joining Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Recently, Neymar expressed his desire to return to Santos, which has caught the attention of many fans worldwide. In this essay, I will discuss why Neymar wants to play for Santos again and what it would mean for him as well as the team.

Neymar started his career at Santos when he was just 11 years old and played there until 2013 before moving on to Europe. Since then, he has been longing to come back home. In an interview with Rede Globo in Brazil in April 2021, Neymar said that "Santos is my heart; it's impossible not to think about returning." He also talked about how much he had learned from his time at Santos and how grateful he is for everything the club did for him.

One of the reasons behind Neymar's interest in returning to Santos could be the potential arrival of Italian football manager Carlo Ancelotti as head coach of the team. Ancelotti is one of the most successful coaches in European football history and has coached some of Europe's biggest clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

Neymar’s absence from both PSG’s games as well as likely upcoming World Cup Qualifiers put pressure on the team’s performance. As one of the top goal scorers and most valuable players, Neymar's presence is crucial to both PSG and Brazil national team.
