Mbappe threatens Paris Saint-Germain with legal action over 100 million euros
It seems that a new crisis is looming between Kylian Mbappe, the new Real Madrid star, and his former French club, Paris Saint-Germain, in light of the player’s desire to obtain his remaining dues from the Parisian club. Mbappe had joined Real Madrid during the current summer Mercato on a 5-year contract, in a free transfer deal, after the end of his contract with his former club, Paris Saint-Germain .
According to the French newspaper L'Equipe, Mbappe decided to file an official lawsuit against Paris Saint-Germain for various unpaid salaries and bonuses totaling approximately 100 million euros. The newspaper added that the official claim was submitted by Mbappé’s lawyer to the French Professional Football League, whose regulations stipulate that salaries must be paid no later than the last day of every month.
Reports indicate that the club that won the French League title last season does not seem to have any intention of paying the all-time top scorer for the month of June either. Mbappé also wants to receive part of the rewards that he was scheduled to receive during the ending season, according to his contract with the French capital club.
Mbappe was absent from the ranks of the France national team against the Netherlands national team, on Friday evening, which ended in a goalless draw, after suffering a broken nose during the match against Austria in the first round.
