It’ll be a rainy and cloudy start to autumn in Toronto this week. Here’s the forecast.

Sunday might mark the first day of fall, but that doesn’t mean the temperatures are dropping yet. It’ll still be relatively warm in Toronto with daily highs hovering around the low 20s, but clouds will be covering the skies for the first half of the week.  There will also be a risk of rain and thunderstorms at the beginning of the week, but the sun will return before the weekend hits.

Here is your forecast for this week

According to Environment Canada, Sunday night could see some showers with a 60 per cent chance of rain and the possibility of a thunderstorm. There will be a low of 18 C. The risk of thunderstorms will continue into Monday, kicking off the work week with a 60 per cent chance of showers. There will be a high of 23 C, humidex of 27 and UV index 4 or moderate. Overnight the skies will stay cloudy and temperatures will drop to a low of 17 C.  Tuesday will stay cloudy with a high of 20 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers that will extend into the nighttime. There will be an overnight low of 17 C.

The next day’s weather will be similar, with a 60 per cent chance of showers during the day and a high of 22 C. The likelihood of rain will fall overnight to 30 per cent with a low of 15 C.  By Thursday, the skies will have cleared up and the city is expected to see some sunny weather for the day. There will be a high of 24 C but by time night rolls around, the temperatures will drop to 13 C with more cloudy periods. 

Friday will see a mixture of sun and clouds with a high of 21 C but it’ll fall to 13 C as cloudy periods return overnight. Kicking off the weekend, Saturday will be similar with a mixture of sun and clouds and high of 21 C.
