"I jumped on a trampoline." A car crashed into a house in Germany and landed on the first floor.
In a tragic accident, a car crashed into the first floor of a house in the town of Bohme, southwest Germany, after veering off the road at high speed and jumping onto a trampoline in the garden.
The collision injured a seven-year-old boy playing on the trampoline and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries.
Authorities explained, according to German media, that the car was carrying five people, including three children between the ages of 11 and 13. All passengers, including a 43-year-old woman, sustained varying injuries.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident occurred on Saturday evening around 8:00 PM. The car veered off the road and first collided with a parked vehicle on a farm, then broke through a fence, before landing in a nearby garden at a depth of 1.5 meters, where it ran over the child.
The car is believed to have been lifted into the air due to uneven ground before hitting the roof of the barn at a height of approximately 3 meters, according to a police spokesperson.
Police added that investigation teams worked until 4:00 a.m. to collect evidence and document the accident site. The car was removed from the roof using a special crane and then seized by police for further investigation.
52 volunteer firefighters, 12 THW personnel, 12 ambulances, and an emergency physician were involved in the emergency operations.
