Trump dances in front of his country's soldiers in Japan: "We are the strongest"

During his visit to Japan, where he met with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, US President Donald Trump visited the aircraft carrier USS George Washington stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.
"The American forces are the strongest in the world and will soon become even stronger," Trump said in a speech to his country's soldiers.

He also praised the American soldiers, adding that he "always dreamed of being an admiral."
"No army can match our army"
He stressed that "the United States has the most powerful military in history. He said, "There is no military that matches our military, or even comes close to it. No one has the weapons we have, and soon the American military will become stronger and more powerful than before."

He also stated that "no one would dare threaten the US fleet, given that no one possesses, as he put it, ships or weapons similar to those possessed by the United States."
Note that in 2024, U.S. News & World Report published a ranking of the world's most powerful armies, with Russia ranking first as the "country with the most powerful army," while the United States ranked second.

The United States has approximately 60,000 troops stationed in Japan, and Tokyo is demanding greater spending, reaching the 5% pledged by NATO members last June. Under the terms of a July trade agreement released by the White House, Japan is expected to invest $550 billion in the United States.

Trump arrived in Tokyo yesterday, on a visit preceded by a stop in Malaysia and followed by a meeting in South Korea with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. This meeting could help de-escalate the trade war between Beijing and Washington. Reaching a trade agreement with China remains the biggest reward for Trump, as well as for global markets.
