Shakira appeared to be shining in her performance on stage, but the joyful scene quickly turned tragic, as the international singer fell hard and hit the stage floor.

Shakira, 48, fell during her concert in Montreal, Canada, while performing "Whenever, Wherever," one of her main hits in her live shows. She lost her balance while performing with her arms raised. The incident was filmed and went viral on social media. Shakira handled the fall with poise, calmly getting up, smiling, and even jokingly sticking her tongue out, turning the incident into a performance.

Although the fall was hard, her smile and quick recovery reassured her fans that the incident was minor.

Through her Instagram Stories, Shakira was forced to inform her fans and followers that she was canceling her concert, which was scheduled to take place in Lima. She revealed that the reason for the cancellation was her hospitalization, with doctors recommending that she was not in a "condition" to perform that night.

Shakira wrote: "I regret to inform you all that last night I had to go to the emergency room due to an abdominal problem. I am now hospitalized." Shakira expressed her deep sadness at not being able to go on stage and that she looked forward to reuniting with her fans in Peru.

She also expressed her hope for being released from the hospital and making a full recovery. So she can perform, and she revealed that her crew and promoters are working to schedule a new date.
