Three people were arrested in Berlin with weapons what’s Hamas got to do with it?

According to Germany’s federal prosecutor, three individuals suspected of belonging to Hamas were detained on Wednesday in Berlin after being found with weapons allegedly intended for “bloody attacks targeting vital institutions in Germany.”

Authorities said the suspects two German citizens and one person born in Lebanon were discovered with an assault rifle, handguns, and a large amount of ammunition.

The prosecutor’s office told AFP that the nationality of the third suspect has not yet been confirmed.
Investigations indicate that since at least the summer of 2025, the trio had been working to obtain firearms and ammunition in Germany on behalf of Hamas.

The suspects are expected to appear before an investigating judge on Thursday, who will decide whether to place them in pre-trial detention.
