Farmajo implicates Somalia with the United Nations

 


The United States and the wider international community have spent billions of dollars pushing Somalia out of the brink.

A year ago, the State Department lobbied hard behind the scenes to write off a billion dollars in debt to US taxpayers that Somali officials had lost, lost, or embezzled.

The United States and British militaries, as well as the European Union, the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), and Turkey have all invested heavily in training and assisting the Somali National Army.
