A maid of a famous Egyptian media personality was arrested on charges of stealing money and jewelry.

Security forces at the Giza Security Directorate in Egypt arrested the maid of Egyptian media personality Amina Shalaby on charges of stealing money and gold jewelry from the journalist's villa in 6th of October City, southern Egypt.

The details of the incident date back to when the Giza Security Directorate received a report from media personality Amina Shalabiya, accusing her maid of stealing jewelry and money from her home. Security personnel immediately moved to apprehend and arrest the accused.

Initial investigations revealed that the maid stole 24,000 Egyptian pounds, 1,000 US dollars, and 100 euros, in addition to a stream of gold and other jewelry.

When confronted, the accused confessed to the incident and provided information about the jewelry, which she sold to a merchant who owns a jewelry store in Giza Governorate.

Legal measures were taken, and the Public Prosecution was notified to conduct the investigation.

Amina Shalabiya's Career

Amina Shalabiya is a 56-year-old Egyptian media personality who won the title of Miss Egypt in 1988 after graduating from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science. She then pursued a career in fashion.

She then opened a private school to teach makeup and skincare, becoming a renowned beauty expert in Egypt. She also hosted numerous programs focusing on fashion, style, and etiquette.
