Oppo today announced the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro in China, both budget gaming smartphones equipped with cooling fans.

The company says this fan, which has a speed of 18,000 rpm, increases heat dissipation by up to 20%.

The phones also feature cooling vents and a 7,000 mm² vapor chamber system.

Despite the cooling fan and vents, Oppo says the K13 Turbo phones have IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance ratings.

Unfortunately, the phones don't have a dust resistance rating, but this may be the first time we've seen a water-resistant phone with a cooling fan.

The two phones share many features, including a 6.8-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera, and a 16MP selfie camera.

Otherwise, the OPPO K13 Turbo Pro earns the Pro moniker thanks to its fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s processor (same as the Nothing Phone 3), optical image stabilization (OIS) in the main camera, UFS 4.0 storage, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

The standard OPPO K13 Turbo features a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor and lacks optical image stabilization (OIS) in the main camera. It also features UFS 3.1 storage and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

The K13 Turbo starts at 1,799 yuan (about $251) for the 12GB/256GB model, while the K13 Turbo Pro starts at 1,999 yuan (about $278) for the 12GB/256GB model.
