From Switzerland... New accusations against journalist Maha Al-Sagheer of stealing artworks

Egyptian media personality Maha El-Sagheer is facing a series of crises, accused of plagiarizing paintings by world-renowned artists.

On Saturday, a Swiss Instagram account revealed that El-Sagheer had copied his designs and used them commercially without authorization.

The account posted: "My friends, an Egyptian media personality, Maha El-Sagheer, has used one of my original artworks on products such as bags and clothing without my permission."

He added, "Some followers and interested individuals brought this matter to my attention, and I thank them for their support and concern. Upon reviewing Maha Al Sagheer's account, I was disappointed to discover that my design was actually being used commercially, without my consent or prior communication."

The post continued: "I feel sorry for Maha El Sagheer for making this grave mistake. This is a clear violation of intellectual property rights, a shameful act, and a serious insult to artists."

The post added: "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who reached out to me, supported me, and helped shed light on this matter. I regret sharing this disturbing situation, but I believe it is necessary to speak up and defend our rights as artists and creators."

In recent days, Maha El Sagheer faced accusations from three artists—Danish artist Lisa Nielsen, French artist "City," and German artist Caroline Wendelin—of plagiarizing their artwork during a television appearance. The Egyptian media personality admitted to plagiarizing the drawings, which she had initially claimed were her own.
