Google launches revolutionary updates to its search engine's artificial intelligence mode.
Google has announced revolutionary updates to its search engine's "AI Mode," adding interactive tools aimed at radically improving the user experience. Most notable are the new Canvas feature and instant search via Live Search.
Canvas is an innovative addition that allows users to organize information and build study or research plans within an interactive side panel.
If you're preparing for a test or research project, simply click the "Create a Board" button, and Google will begin collecting personalized content for you that can be updated and modified continuously.
In a more personalized move, Google will soon allow uploading files such as lecture notes or course syllabi, enriching the board with relevant, personalized content. This transforms AI from a mere search tool to a real-life partner in learning and planning.
In another equally important update, Google has integrated Project Astra's capabilities into the Search Live feature, which works with Google Lens.
This new feature is like having a virtual expert explain what you're seeing through your camera in real time, providing links and resources for deeper understanding.
According to Robby Stein, Vice President of Products at Google Search, "With Search Live, AI becomes a visual guide that interacts with you through audio and video, explaining complex concepts right before your eyes."
Through Google Lens on your phone or even on your desktop, AI can now be used to understand images, or even PDFs, and ask precise analytical questions about their content.
This development represents a new leap toward making search an interactive and integrated tool.
This year, Google plans to support additional file types, such as Google Drive documents, expanding users' ability to interact with their stored content.
With these new features, Google goes beyond providing search results, but seeks to transform the user experience into a multi-dimensional, intelligent, personalized, and flexible learning journey.
