British King Charles III celebrated his 77th birthday in an unconventional way, appearing in a video driving one of the modern tram trains at a metro station in South Wales, as part of an official tour aimed at highlighting the development of the public transport network in the region.

Gun salutes were fired in London to honor the King on his birthday.
The King appeared smiling and seated in the cockpit, braving the rain that had fallen in Wales as he attended a reception with Queen Camilla to mark the bicentenary of Severthva Castle, followed by the opening of a new railway station, during a day packed with official activities, as is typical in his recent schedule.

According to the Daily Express, the King, who announced his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, has had a record number of official engagements since taking the throne in September 2022. These engagements have included welcoming US President Trump to Windsor Castle, and short overseas visits to Canada and the Vatican, where he led a joint prayer with Pope Leo XIV last October.
Despite his health being the subject of rumors, the king showed no signs of weakness during these appearances, refuting repeated speculations about his deteriorating condition.
