America will host France's friendlies against Brazil and Colombia.

Coach Didier Deschamps confirmed on Saturday during the French Football Federation's general assembly meeting in Paris that his country's national team will face Brazil and Colombia in friendly matches in America next March, in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

Deschamps said, "We will have a short rehearsal in March. This tour in America, where we will play against Brazil and Colombia, is always useful because it is a good opportunity to get acquainted with the tournament venues."

The president of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo, announced on November 21 that two matches against Brazil and Colombia had been scheduled, in Boston and Florida respectively.
The last time the French national team met their Brazilian counterparts, the five-time World Cup champions, was in March 2015, in a friendly match that "Les Bleus" lost 1-3 at the "Stade de France".

France also lost their last match against Colombia 2-3 in March 2018, also in Saint-Denis.
Deschamps announced on the sidelines of the General Assembly that the French national team, which will play its group stage matches on the East Coast of America, has not yet determined the location of its training camp for the 2026 World Cup (June 11 - July 19).
The 57-year-old French coach had previously stated that he would reveal his World Cup squad in mid-May.

The 2018 World Cup champion and 2022 runner-up will face Senegal in Group A on June 16 in New York, then the winner of the intercontinental play-off between Iraq, Bolivia and Suriname on June 22 in Philadelphia, and Norway four days later in Boston.
Deschamps, who received a standing ovation from the audience in his final speech as national team coach to the federation's general assembly, concluded by saying, "This is my practical side: we must not get ahead of ourselves; we must beat all our rivals if we want to go as far as possible in the World Cup."
