He will lead the team until 2032... Who is Rossinior, Chelsea's new manager?

Chelsea announced on Tuesday the appointment of Liam Rossignol, coach of French club Strasbourg, as the team's new manager, replacing the sacked Italian Enzo Maresca.

Rossignol, who signed a contract until 2032, said he felt "very grateful and proud to take on the role."
The former Hull City manager, who has no Premier League coaching experience, will become Chelsea's fourth permanent manager since Blue Co took over the London club in 2022.

Rossinior spent his playing career between the Premier League and the Championship, playing for teams such as Fulham, Reading, Hull, Brighton, and others.

After a brief stint coaching Brighton's under-23 team, Rossinior began his coaching career in 2019 at Derby County, first under Dutchman Phillip Cocu and then as an assistant to Wayne Rooney.

Rossinior took over temporarily from Rooney in 2022, and later became the manager of Hull City in the Championship.
After about 18 months in the position, he was dismissed from his duties, and in July 2024 he was appointed coach of Strasbourg and led the team to seventh place last season.

Chelsea will visit their west London neighbor Fulham, one of Rossoneri's former clubs, on Wednesday in the 21st round of the league.
